Sequoia’s 2023 football season kicked off with a with a travel game to Kona, Hawaii. The team worked all summer to raise money and get game ready for this trip of a lifetime. We are so grateful to the Sequoia football community for helping to make this possible!
The Ravens returned home to face their toughest opponent, Patterson, followed by pre-season games versus Alisail and Woodside. Competing in the PAL Ocean Division for the first time since 2019, Sequoia varsity suffered some injuries and tough losses, but the team battled back to beat Terra Nova, undefeated Capuchino, and long-time rival Carlmont to end the season with the Terremere Trophy in hand.
Both the JV and varsity programs demonstrated remarkable commitment, development, grit and heart. We are proud of all the athletes that played their role and put in the work. Shout out to the coaches, snack shack volunteers, supporters, and fans who dedicated their time and energy to Sequoia football this year.
